Associate Director of Technology – Global Sports<\/span>Associate Director of Technology<\/span>Associate Director of Technology, Global Sports<\/span>Location \u2013 Dublin<\/span>Hybrid<\/span>Permanent<\/span>We\u2019re looking for an Associate Director of Technology to join our Global Sports Technology team.<\/span>Global Sports Technology sits at the heart of Flutter\u2019s global sportsbook capability, powering technology that supports some of the world\u2019s most recognised betting brands. Our platforms deliver time-critical sporting data and trading capabilities at global scale, enabling innovative sports experiences for millions of customers.<\/span>As Associate Director of Technology, you will play a key leadership role within the Global Sportsbook & Trading Technology organisation. Partnering with senior leaders across Product, Delivery and Architecture, you will help define and implement the technology strategy that underpins our global sports platform.<\/span>You will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for designing, building and supporting the technology that powers our Global Sports products. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical influence, ensuring our platforms continue to evolve to meet the scale, speed and reliability required by a global betting ecosystem.<\/span>Success in this role will be measured by your ability to build high-performing engineering teams, deliver resilient and scalable technology platforms, and drive continuous improvement across engineering practices within Global Sports Technology.<\/span>What you\u2019ll do<\/span>Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for building and supporting Global Sports technology platforms<\/span>Partner with Product, Delivery, Architecture and Operations to deliver technology capabilities aligned with the Global Sports roadmap<\/span>Contribute to the technology strategy across Global Sportsbook & Trading and help shape the future of Flutter\u2019s global sports capability<\/span>Ensure platforms are scalable, reliable and capable of supporting large-scale sports data and betting transactions<\/span>Drive engineering excellence through strong standards, processes and tools across the product delivery lifecycle<\/span>Champion continuous improvement across engineering practices, team performance and delivery outcomes<\/span>How you\u2019ll do it<\/span>Strong experience leading engineering teams delivering complex, large-scale software platforms<\/span>Deep understanding of technology delivery within large-scale digital or data-driven environments<\/span>Experience contributing to technology strategy and translating business objectives into engineering outcomes<\/span>Strong collaboration with Product, Architecture, Delivery and Operations teams.<\/span>Proven track record to build and develop high-performing engineering teams<\/span>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in complex organisations<\/span>What\u2019s in it for you<\/span>We are a flexible employer; whether you have personal commitments or a hobby that brings you joy, we want you to bring your best self to work and feel empowered to do so.
