Overview<\/b><\/span>Quest Software’s AI Center of Excellence in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Software Developer with expertise in the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in .NET technologies, C#, and SQL Server, and will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise applications.<\/span>As the central hub for AI innovation across Quest’s SaaS platform ecosystem, our Cork-based AI CoE shapes the future of enterprise AI solutions serving millions of users worldwide. In this role, you will design and implement AI-powered solutions on Microsoft Azure, take ownership of specific AI system components, and collaborate closely with data scientists and senior engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready AI systems.<\/span>Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>-Design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop applications using Microsoft technologies (.NET Core\/.NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, etc.)<\/span>-Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services<\/span>-Work with SQL Server to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures<\/span>-Design and implement AI\/ML model deployment pipelines on Azure (Azure ML, AKS, Azure Functions)<\/span>-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers<\/span>-Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning<\/span>-Produce testing documentation and demos<\/span>-Adhere to Quest\u2019s software development methodology and security best practices<\/span>-Accurately estimate work and participate in planning activities<\/span>-Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to improve development practices<\/span>-Honor commitments to the team and business, and contribute meaningfully in team meetings<\/span>-Produces testing documentation and demos.<\/span>Qualifications<\/b><\/span>Required<\/b><\/span>-Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)<\/span>-8+ years of professional experience in software development using Microsoft technologies<\/span>-Strong experience with C#\/.NET development and Python<\/span>-Proficiency in .NET Core\/.NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC\/Web API<\/span>-Experience with SQL Server and relational database design<\/span>-Hands-on experience with Azure ML, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI\/CD<\/span>-Understanding of machine learning model deployment and MLOps practices<\/span>-Familiarity with Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps)<\/span>-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail<\/span>-Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.<\/span>-Communicate directly with customers as needed to diagnose issues or gather feedback.<\/span>-Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise within the product domain, the product technology stack, or the tools used to build the product<\/span>Nice to Have<\/b><\/span>-Experience with Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services<\/span>-Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates)<\/span>-Experience with microservices architecture<\/span>-Exposure to Agile\/Scrum methodologies<\/span>-Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React<\/span>-Is self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision<\/span>Company Overview<\/b><\/span>Quest Software builds the foundation for enterprise AI with solutions in data governance, cybersecurity, and platform modernization.
