Our products don&#8217;t just serve ads or stream movies &#8211; they underpin our economy and touch people&#8217;s lives<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We&#8217;re looking for a talented .NET engineer to join our Engineering Team as a Software Specialist &#8211; someone who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and wants to contribute to the delivery of modern, reliable services that New Zealanders trust every day.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Whether you&#8217;re an experienced mid-level engineer ready to deepen your engineering skills, or a senior developer eager to take on more technical challenges, we have several opportunities to join our team.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>What you&#8217;ll be working on?<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>You&#8217;ll be part of a cross-functional squad modernising and maintaining some of our core services &#8211; a mix of legacy and modern systems &#8211; as we continue our transformation into a cloud-first, microservices-based architecture.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Your responsibilities will include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using C# and .NET<\/li>\n<li>Building scalable and resilient cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the evolution of our CI\/CD pipelines and DevOps practices<\/li>\n<li>Taking ownership of solutions from design through to production<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating closely with engineers, testers, and product owners<\/li>\n<li>Optionally: mentoring and supporting junior team members (senior level)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What you&#8217;ll bring to the role?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solid experience building backend applications with C# and the .NET ecosystem<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on exposure to Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven design<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of CI\/CD, version control, and test automation<\/li>\n<li>A mindset of continuous learning and curiosity<\/li>\n<li>Senior candidates will bring deeper architectural or team leadership experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Working at ASB:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>ASB&#8217;s sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
