This role is responsible for cashiering, maintaining store presentation, ensuring food and beverage quality, and fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all customers.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The CSR serves as the face of H&#038;S Energy, creating a positive experience for every guest through friendly interactions, product knowledge, and efficient service.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities and Duties:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Customer Service Excellence <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greet all customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment (\u201cWelcome to H&#038;S\u201d \/ \u201cWelcome to Chevron\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Deliver friendly, efficient, and accurate service at checkout while maintaining a positive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Follow the company\u2019s Four Steps of Customer Service with every interaction to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction and Mystery Shop performance<\/li>\n<li>Communicate current promotions, loyalty programs, and product recommendations to enhance customer engagement<\/li>\n<li>Represent the company with professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Cash Handling &#038; Register Operations <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for all cash, credit, and debit transactions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure correct change is given, receipts are issued, and refunds or exchanges are processed per company policy<\/li>\n<li>Perform safe drops, cash counts, and drawer balancing at shift end following standard procedures<\/li>\n<li>Verify identification for age-restricted items (alcohol, tobacco, lottery) and credit transactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Store Presentation &#038; Merchandising <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to ensure products are organized, priced correctly, and visually appealing<\/li>\n<li>Maintain signage, promotional materials, and pricing accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Remove expired, damaged, or recalled items and report discrepancies to the Station Manager<\/li>\n<li>Keep the sales floor, counters, and displays neat, clean, and clutter-free<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Food &#038; Beverage Handling <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and maintain all self-serve and ready-to-eat food and beverage stations (coffee, fountain, roller grill, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Clean and sanitize equipment regularly to ensure quality and compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Maintenance, Cleanliness &#038; Safety <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain cleanliness of the entire facility, including restrooms, fueling area, and trash disposal<\/li>\n<li>Refill windshield washer stations, paper towels, and squeegees at the pumps<\/li>\n<li>Follow all safety procedures and emergency response protocols, including knowledge of shutoff systems<\/li>\n<li>Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Additional Duties<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhere to the station\u2019s shift duties checklist for assigned shifts<\/li>\n<li>Understand and assist with car wash operations (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education and Work Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer-facing roles preferred<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures<\/li>\n<li>CPR and First Aid training a plus<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Skill Set<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong customer service and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and dependable, with strong follow-through and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Able to follow direction, take initiative, and maintain professionalism under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable using computers and POS systems; basic Microsoft Office skills a plus<\/li>\n<li>Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Physical Demands and Work Environment<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
