As part of Cohesity\u2019s Data Protect Product Engineering team, you will contribute to our product portfolio by developing features, tools, and scripts that enhance the customer experience\u2014from ease of sale to seamless deployment and maintenance.<\/span>This role goes beyond writing code. We’re looking for engineers who can dive into complex systems, diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, and deliver high-quality solutions with strong attention to scalability and performance. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Customer Support, System Engineers, and directly with customers to ensure our solutions meet real-world needs and expectations.<\/span>HOW YOU\u2019LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:<\/span>This role involves leading key technical initiatives and collaborating across teams to drive product development and support. The position plays a vital role within the organization by bridging engineering execution with customer success and relies heavily on cross-functional collaboration with product management, support, QA, design, and field teams.<\/span>Ownership of Feature Development:<\/span>Take ownership of end-to-end design and implementation for complete feature sets for both on-premises and cloud platforms based on product requirements and customer feedback.<\/span>Engage in technical discussions with Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Designers to align on design\/scope.<\/span>Feature Delivery:<\/span>Ensures timely delivery of committed features. Clearly communicate deliverables, timelines, and follow through on commitments.<\/span>Lead development and testing of patches and hotfixes.<\/span>Proactively assess technical risks and make data-informed decisions to mitigate them.<\/span>Develop tools to assist support engineers in diagnosing and resolving issues more efficiently, reducing time-to-resolution for customer-reported problems.<\/span>Technical Leadership:<\/b>
\n Mentor team members in writing clean, testable, and maintainable code and guide them during all phases of design, development and testing.<\/span>Issue Diagnosis & Resolution:
\n Conduct deep root cause analysis for product defects and performance issues. Implement and validate fixes with a focus on quality and speed.<\/span>WE\u2019D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING<\/span>Typically requires a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience with a Bachelor\u2019s degree; or 6 years and a Master\u2019s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.<\/span>Strong coding experience in any of these languages – C, C++, Golang<\/span>Comfortable in using tools – JIRA, Github, Test framework in Python<\/span>Development experience on products related to enterprise class data protection<\/span>Knowledge of Microservices, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI etc.) and SaaS architecture.
