HR works in partnership with the business to ensure we can attract, develop, motivate and retain the talent required to ensure that success. The Senior HR Business Partner is a key member of the business HR leadership team, operating at senior management level and influencing and implementing people strategies and decisions within dynamic business environments. They will advise, coach and support the management teams on people-related initiatives and issues, oversee operational HR matters on behalf of their business and act as an essential link between the business, People Operations and Centres of Excellence. This role supports the business through ongoing change, capability transformation, and evolving workforce demands in the energy sector.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>The successful candidate will:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>As part of the HR management team, lead and support the business in the implementation of the People Strategy<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Partner with the business in defining and implementing talent strategies.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Lead the implementation of key HR initiatives and processes in the business (e.g. future capability, people experience, SRP, succession planning, performance management).<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Support the business in meeting its targets through the development, implementation and enabling of cost-effective HR best practice.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Track and interpret people KPIs within the business, identifying trends, insights and risks, and driving appropriate actions with senior business managers<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Be the voice of the business and define business requirements in the development of HR initiatives and interventions in line with the HR operating model<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Coach and develop HR Business Partners contributing to the overall capability, succession and performance of the HR function. Create a positive team environment and role-model ESB values &#038; behaviours<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Use insights from the analysis of people related data and leading external practices to influence and inform business decisions.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Lead and advise on organisational change initiatives\/projects, ensuring optimal people outcomes<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Key Personal Requirements<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The successful candidate will demonstrate the credibility and confidence to operate effectively at Senior Management Team level, with strong judgment, resilience, and the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity<span class=\"br\"><\/span>They will be capable of effectively engaging stakeholders both internally and externally.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>They will be inclusive, with an open mindset and a demonstrated desire to understand how others view and experience the world.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>For the role of Senior HR Business Partner, specifically the person appointed will have;<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong relationship building and influencing skills and experience<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Understanding of business activity and commercial acumen<span class=\"br\"><\/span>A strategic orientation and ability to identify long term impacts of people strategies and decisions<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Ability to work with colleagues across the HR operating model on a variety of initiatives and projects<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Relevant HR\/People experience, with a track record of delivery<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Qualifications<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>A professional, relevant qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Membership of CIPD is desirable.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Location<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position will be based in Dublin.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Smart Working at ESB is designed to make &#8216;in-person&#8217; time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week.
