Mid-Level Android Developer<\/span>Location: Columbus, OH (Preference for local or nearby candidates; hybrid\/remote considered for strong fits) Employment Type: W2 (Contract or Contract-to-Hire) Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ years of hands-on Android development experience required)<\/span>About the Role<\/b><\/span>We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Android Developer to join our team in Columbus, OH. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality native and hybrid Android applications. This role focuses on delivering robust, scalable mobile solutions using modern Android practices and tools.<\/span>Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin (primary language) and Java.<\/span>Build both native Android apps and hybrid mobile solutions.<\/span>Implement clean, maintainable code following MVVM architecture principles.<\/span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira for task tracking and Confluence for documentation.<\/span>Integrate CI\/CD pipelines and build processes with tools like Jenkins.<\/span>Write unit tests, debug issues, and ensure app performance, security, and compatibility across Android devices and versions.<\/span>Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement of development processes.<\/span>Required Qualifications<\/b><\/span>3+ years of professional experience as an Android Mobile Developer.<\/span>Strong proficiency in Kotlin (primary) and solid experience with Java for Android development.<\/span>Hands-on experience building both native and hybrid Android applications.<\/span>Solid understanding of MVVM architecture and modern Android Jetpack components.<\/span>Practical experience with Jira and Confluence in an Agile\/Scrum environment.<\/span>Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI\/CD integration tools.<\/span>Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.<\/span>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/span>Experience with Android SDK, RESTful APIs, Retrofit, Coroutines\/Flow, Room, and other Jetpack libraries.<\/span>Familiarity with Git, unit testing (JUnit, Espresso), and app deployment to Google Play.<\/span>Previous work in a team using Agile methodologies.<\/span>What We Offer<\/b><\/span>Opportunity to work on impactful mobile projects.<\/span>Collaborative environment with modern tools and practices.<\/span>Competitive compensation for W2 engagements.<\/span>If you’re a passionate Android developer with strong Kotlin\/MVVM experience and are located in or near Columbus, OH, we’d love to hear from you!Equal Employment Opportunity<\/span>TopTechTalent.ai believes that all persons are entitled to equal employment opportunities.
