Assist in implementation of the company&#8217;s reinsurance program based on overall company&#8217;s objectives. Maintain a business relationship with the Company&#8217;s underwriting and finance department and with the local, regional and international reinsurance market.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinates all reinsurance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate reinsurance contracts with brokers and companies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary information.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and present reports on reinsurance activities and strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of all reinsurance transactions and agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in audits and regulatory reviews<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the financial impact of reinsurance transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor performance of reinsurance agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Working and making XOL MDP Adjustment for Whole Account Excess of Loss and Motor Excess of Loss.<\/li>\n<li>Working and making of Profit Commission and updating Statistics as per company requirement.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with IT Department for updating all Reinsurance related matters.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing Quarterly basis Statement of Accounts for all types of Reinsurance.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing all Statistics for Proportional &#038; Non-Proportional Treaties for all Reinsurers &#038; all Treaties.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with Claims Unit on notification and recovery of claims from reinsurers.<\/li>\n<li>Acknowledging receipt of loss advices (Notification of Claims \/ Cash Call) with full supporting documents from Cedant<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with set standards for reinsurance.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of data and statistics for the treaty negotiation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure treaty set up is done before commencement of the year.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures prompt settlement of reinsurance premiums.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures immediate cession of risks beyond the company&#8217;s underwriting capacity through treaty and facultative sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures prompt reconciliation of year-end accounts with reinsurers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Candidate Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk factors and make sound underwriting decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel is a must with excellent mathematical ability<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work within and across teams.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle deadline-oriented work.<\/li>\n<li>Highly motivated<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to take ownership of assigned work by exhibiting a high level of commitment and initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage workload and proactively provide updates. &#8211;<\/li>\n<li>A developed understanding of Reinsurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> &#8211; University Degree in the Field of Economics, Business Administration or any related field.<br \/>\n       &#8211; Professional Insurance qualification, like Charted Insurance Institute (CII\/ACII) or any equivalent is a plus.<br \/>\n       3-5 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.<br \/><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.com.kw\/jobad\/kw258cf8c5ff2a12c63c894727428e6c0a?affid=0852fd5db5a52cbcd75bf945aa534932\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Now<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long Description Job Summary To look after the various reinsurance arrangements including treaty and facultative reinsurance protection for all classes of business written by the company.
