{"id":144914,"date":"2026-02-22T06:03:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T06:03:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/were-hiring-quantity-surveyor-marine-construction-project-2\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T06:03:04","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T06:03:04","slug":"were-hiring-quantity-surveyor-marine-construction-project-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/were-hiring-quantity-surveyor-marine-construction-project-2\/","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re Hiring Quantity Surveyor- Marine\/Construction Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Qualifications &#038; Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5\u20137 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil and\/or infrastructure projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Lump Sum, Re-measurable, EPC, and Design &#038; Build contracts is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with FIDIC-based contracts is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in marine works (berths, jetties, piling, concrete works, dredging) is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and measurement sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Perform quantity take-offs (MTO) from drawings, specifications, and contract documents.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and certify interim payment applications, progress claims, and final accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices, variations, and claims.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare variation orders, rate analysis, and cost impact assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in contract administration, including correspondence, notices, and record keeping.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with site, planning, and technical teams to ensure accurate measurement and cost control.<\/li>\n<li>Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and subcontract award recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain proper commercial records, cost reports, and project documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and dispute resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with contract conditions, client requirements, and company procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required Skills &#038; Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost control, and measurement standards.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract clauses.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying \/ cost control tools.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of contract administration and commercial management.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><b><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.com.qa\/jobad\/qaa6e84842b67a95c405a1cf2225fc5073?affid=1e18623d919a855447a16dd0557b1bec\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Now<\/a> <\/b><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qualifications &#038; Experience Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
