\n PreparesRadiation Therapy treatment planning and provides radiation treatment topatients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Brief Description<\/b><\/span>1. Assists with treatment planning includingthe use of simulator, Computer Technology (CT) Sim, dose calculations,obtaining contours, and making templates.<\/span>2. Assists Senior Mould Room Technologist withmaking shells and radiation protective device.<\/span>3. Prepares treatment room and deliversprescribed radiation treatment. Documents radiation treatment correctly ontreatment sheet. Checks treatment prescription, diagnosis, calculations, andpatient identification.<\/span>4. Checks operation of equipment for properworking and safety including routine safety checks.<\/span>5. Reports malfunctioning of equipment orpotential safety hazards to seniors.<\/span>6. Maintains patient records, reports, andfiles of treatments. Explains radiation procedure to patients.<\/span>7. Collects CPT and statistics in timelymanner.<\/span>8. Liaises with all sections of department forsmooth running of assigned area.<\/span>9. Informs the treating Radiation Oncologistsof undue condition and reaction.<\/span>10. Enhances professional growth and developmentthrough continuing education.<\/span>11. Experienced rotational radiation therapist.<\/span>12. Follows departmental policies in own roleand acts as a resource for others.<\/span>13. Follows all Hospital related procedures andpolicies.<\/span>14. Participates in self and others\u2019 education,training and development, as applicable.<\/span>15. Performs other relatedduties, as assigned.

Detailed Description<\/b>
\n Bachelor\u2019sor Associate Degree\/Diploma in Radiation Therapy or other related discipline isrequired.
Job Requirements<\/b><\/span>– Grade 08:<\/span>Two (2) years of experience as a RadiationTherapist with Bachelor\u2019s or four (4) years with Associate Degree\/Diploma is required.<\/span>-Grade 09:<\/span>Four (4) years of experience as RadiationTherapist at KFSH&RC<\/span>Average of Annual Performance Appraisal of 4.3 or higher<\/span>Cumulative ContinuedMedical Education (CME) hours of 50 or higher
Additional Details<\/b>
\n BasicCardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
