Provides maintenance, repair and replacement of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.<br \/><b>Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have the ability to lead all duties and responsibilities of an HVAC section.<\/li>\n<li>Provides maintenance, repair and replacement of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Qualifications: Education\/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>High school graduate or equivalent required. Two (2) years of HVAC or related technical school highly desirable. Must provide a copy of the diploma and certificates.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a U.S. Citizen<\/li>\n<li>Experience:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Five (5) years HVAC experience with trade certifications.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory experience:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Qualifications\/Experience Requirements:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>High school degree or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Five (5) years HVAC experience with trade certifications; at least two (2) years of leadership experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to obtain a US Military Operator&#8217;s license<\/li>\n<li>HVAC trade certification required<\/li>\n<li>Skills:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess the technical skill to identify repair requirements as it pertains to HVAC equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Must have expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations and repair of HVAC systems.<\/li>\n<li>Must be an expert in corrective actions performed by maintenance teams.<\/li>\n<li>Must have the ability to document and report inspection findings using pictures on required forms.<\/li>\n<li>Must be detail-oriented, have excellent time management skills, and have exceptional customer service skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in all phases of documentation as it pertains to servicing, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Must have expert knowledge of equipment operations as it is critical to providing a quality inspection program.<\/li>\n<li>Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions during the course of normal duties.<\/li>\n<li>Must be capable of working independently with little-or-no guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to adapt to rapidly-changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.<\/li>\n<li>Working Conditions:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/li>\n<li>Indoor and\/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).<\/li>\n<li>Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.<\/li>\n<li>Physical Requirements:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and\/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and\/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and\/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.<\/li>\n<li>Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
