This team focuses on the complete user journey throughout our products including onboarding, purchasing, and user activation. We practice data-driven decision-making and emphasize experimentation. In this role, you will focus on activating our basic users. Growth engineers on our team have ownership and autonomy to create, develop, and analyze their work in the context of the team and greater company objectives. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, growing company focused on impacting the business, working with new technologies, and solving hard problems.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As an onX Growth iOS Engineer, your day to day responsibilities would look like:<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>(Essential Job Duties)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop new user-facing features in our iOS app using Swift<\/li>\n<li>Write quality code, tests and review pull requests promptly<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the iOS team architecture and code standard discussions<\/li>\n<li>Create ideas and solutions that pertain to your team&#8217;s quarterly mission<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate effectively with other team members<\/li>\n<li>Lead by example &#8211; embody our company values<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to use data analysis to identify opportunities for new experiments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>LOCATION<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>onX has created a thriving distributed workforce community across several US locations. This position can be performed from an onX corporate office, \u201cBasecamp,\u201d or \u201cConnection Hub\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate Offices: onX was founded in Montana with offices in Missoula and Bozeman. If you prefer to work in an office at least part of the time this is a great option.<\/li>\n<li>Basecamps: Basecamps are established virtual workforce communities where a sizable number of distributed team members group for work, volunteering, socializing, and adventure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Our current Basecamps are located within a 90-mile radius of the following: Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Kalispell, MT; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; and Seattle, WA.<\/li>\n<li>Connection Hubs: Connection Hub locations are smaller, emerging communities of distributed team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Our current Connection Hubs are located within a 60-mile radius of the following: Boise, ID; Charleston, SC; Dallas\/Fort Worth, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Richmond, VA; Spokane, WA; and Vermont.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL BRING<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of four (4) years of professional iOS software development experience is required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with gRPC, Graphql, and\/or REST<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in GIT (particularly rebasing)<\/li>\n<li>You have a strong computer science foundation<\/li>\n<li>You believe that your profession is a craft, and you&#8217;re driven to improve every day<\/li>\n<li>You are an advocate for the customer and their experience<\/li>\n<li>You want to work with other engaged, talented engineers<\/li>\n<li>You want to mentor junior engineers and be mentored by other senior engineers<\/li>\n<li>You write great code<\/li>\n<li>You get stuff done<\/li>\n<li>You take ownership<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;re fun to work with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> ADDED BONUSES<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Though not required, we would be thrilled to consider candidates with any of the following: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering or related degree<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with subscription in-app purchases<\/li>\n<li>Experience with analytics and client events<\/li>\n<li>Interest in Consumer Psychology \/ Behavioral Economics<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Braze, Kochava, Mparticle, Split<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of asynchronous programming using Flows and Coroutines<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of modern iOS development libraries<\/li>\n<li>Continuous Integration and\/or Testing<\/li>\n<li>Knows when to optimize for speed vs. quality<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with a distributed team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>COMPENSATION<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $130,000 to $153,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and education among other factors as required in the job description.
