We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.<\/span>We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.<\/span>In this role, you will:<\/b><\/span>contribute to all parts of the TRE development lifecycle (design, coding, testing & deployment into production)<\/span>support existing TRE services (solving issues, automation, service improvements, technical debt etc)<\/span>collaborate with colleagues at all levels (individual POD, TRE team, Compliance & central teams e.g. Architecture & Security)<\/span>streamline existing processes and implement frameworks to standardise code releases.<\/span>Requirements<\/b><\/span>To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:<\/span>Able to work through full development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, data, infrastructure)<\/span>Work with GCP, focusing on Big Data solutions and cloud services.<\/span>Design, implement, review, and optimise data transformation processes.<\/span>Utilise Python , groovy to build and maintain ETL pipelines.<\/span>Good working knowledge of GitHub<\/span>Bash\/shell scripting & Python<\/span>ETL and CI\/CD Pipelines<\/span>Linux\/Unix<\/span>Databases (Postgres, MySQL, Big Query)<\/span>Containers (Docker, Kubernetes\/GKE)<\/span>Security (IAM, roles, service accounts, entitlements, code & container scanning)<\/span>DevOps principles & automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus)<\/span>Agile development principles (Scrum, Jira, Confluence)<\/span>Ability to work in a large IT project with development experience in a Banking and\/or Financial Crime Risk project.<\/span>Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.<\/span>Willingness to take ownership of tasks.<\/span>Strong collaboration skills and experience working in diverse, global teams.<\/span>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/span>You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.<\/span>www.hsbc.com\/careers<\/span>HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
