You&#8217;ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and scaling innovative backup and restore features based on hyper-scaler native functionality on almost all the major public cloud providers.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Your responsibilities include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support end-to-end software development with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Performing technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and transforming ideas into production-ready features on all the major public clouds.<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence, including robust unit &#038; integration testcases.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring features are operationally excellent, emphasizing observability, reliability, and scalability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> This role is pivotal to delivering cutting-edge features and shaping the future of backup and restore systems.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>The Role:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and implementation of innovative backup and restore features using hyperscaler-native functionalities.<\/li>\n<li>Implement end-to-end software development with a DevOps mindset, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure features are built with a strong emphasis on quality, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Tackle complex engineering challenges with a proactive and hands-on approach.<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively with multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment on technical solutions and project goals.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the evolution of backup and restore services, positioning the organization as a technological leader in the industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What you bring :<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and Python (or other languages with a willingness to adopt Python).<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in identifying and addressing code smells and applying design patterns for maintainable code.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in implementing unit testing, automated tests to ensure high-quality deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Relatively good experience in designing reliable, scalable products with robust observability practices.<\/li>\n<li>Thinking in API-first approach considering reliability, scalability.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of TCP\/IP, HTTP protocols, security \u2013 authentication + authorization.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with public clouds.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Linux systems.<\/li>\n<li>Nice to have &#8211; familiarity with storage systems, filesystems, and databases such as HANA, Sybase ASE, and MSSQL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> #ITT2<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u200bBring out your best<span class=\"br\"><\/span>SAP innovations help more than four hundred thousand customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
