We are transforming the retail experience through cutting-edge technology by developing an advanced solution that uses RFID technology to optimise inventory management and in-store processes. We are looking for a Technical Engineering Lead to oversee the architecture and development of RFID-driven systems that enhance visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency across retail stores.<\/span>Important Results:<\/span>Offer technical expertise and thought leadership to support our strategy and transformation into a world-class retailer.<\/span>Collaborate with Product teams and engineers to develop applications that enhance consumer experiences and boost revenue.<\/span>Communicate complex technical issues and solutions in clear, business-friendly language.<\/span>Work with Business, Product, and IT leadership to identify challenges and opportunities.<\/span>lead a team of developers, hardware integrators, and cloud engineers to design scalable solutions for tracking inventory, automating store processes, and providing real-time insights using RFID.<\/span>About the Job<\/b><\/span>Design and implement end-to-end solutions, Microservices and other services for highly available systems using public Cloud (GCP\/ Azure), applying Object-Oriented Design principles, algorithms, data structures, DBMS\/SQL, and top-tier Software Engineering practices.<\/span>Experience building mobile app and web applications which work with end-to-end modules across multiple touchpoints.<\/span>Conduct detailed analysis of our requirements and technical environments to design high-quality technical solutions.<\/span>Manage multiple projects independently, prioritise and handle high pressure situations.<\/span>stakeholder management with Business and IT leadership.<\/span>Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, approach, and architecture. Contribute to the team’s repository of best practices and reusable solutions.<\/span>Guide automated \/ self-service solutions to decrease the incident resolution times for our customers.<\/span>Set guidelines and governance structure for code reviews, branching strategy, test automation and observability for the team.<\/span>Lead other team members.<\/span>Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Scrum or Kanban.<\/span>About You<\/b><\/span>Minimum of 10+ years of experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Development.<\/span>Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.<\/span>Have worked as a technical lead with leading teams for at least 3+ years.<\/span>Previous experience in the Retail or ecommerce domain in building solutions and working with cross-functional teams.<\/span>RFID exposure will be preferred.<\/span>Experience working with GCP will be preferred.<\/span>Technology Expertise:<\/span>Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, Node.js, or similar.\u200b\u200b<\/span>Expertise in designing and deploying cloud-based applications, with a preference with GCP\/Azure.<\/span>Experience with NFR’s and focus on building high performing applications.<\/span>Understanding of New Relic and other observability tools.<\/span>Integration and API Management:<\/span>Experience with multiple integration patterns, have experience with web services, REST APIs, and asynchronous\/synchronous communication methods.<\/span>Experience with API management platforms, API documentation, versioning, and monitoring, especially with public cloud observability tools.<\/span>Experience with event-driven systems and data streaming (Kafka, MQTT)<\/span>Exposure with Integration technologies like Mulesoft, SAP PO\/BTPIS, Boomi<\/span>DevOps and CI\/CD:<\/span>Experience in DevOps practices with hands-on knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).<\/span>Experience with CI\/CD pipelines and delivering automation\/regression-tested code.<\/span>Cloud and Containerization:<\/span>Proficient in Kubernetes\/Dockers, serverless architecture, messaging platforms (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka, GCP Pub\/Sub), and cloud integration techniques.<\/span>Test-Driven Development:<\/span>Experience writing test-driven code to ensure quality and maintainability. Proficiency with GitHub, GitHub Actions.<\/span>Review test strategy and define guidelines with focus on low touch test approach and automation.<\/span>Database Management:<\/span>Hands-on experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, Postgres, or Redis databases.<\/span>Security and Compliance:<\/span>In-depth knowledge of OWASP\/security principles, authentication mechanisms, and encryption techniques within microservices and cloud environments.<\/span>Collaboration and Flexibility:<\/span>Coordinate and track multiple deliverables across partners.<\/span>Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global project needs and team collaborations.<\/span>Benefits<\/b><\/span>We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
