You\u2019ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.<\/span>A Day in the Life<\/b><\/span>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.<\/span>Promotes and sells Medtronic’s products and services within an assigned geographic area and \/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.<\/span>Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.<\/span>Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic’s products and\/or services.<\/span>Promotes and establishes education of the company’s products and\/or services.<\/span>Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities.<\/span>Implements market development plans\/strategies and changes as needed.<\/span>Communicates customer feedback on new products and\/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.<\/span>SALES PROFESSIONAL CAREER STREAM: Typically sales professional individual contributors with direct sales responsibilities. May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and \/ or accounts involving multiple team members. The majority of time is spent establishing and maintaining customer relationships, developing new customer relationships, implementing sales strategies and closing sales.<\/span>DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS<\/span>Autonomy: Established and productive sales professional managing multiple small to mid-size accounts.
\n Sells products and\/or services to a group of clients and identifies new and potential customers.
\n Works independently with general supervision .
\n Builds relationships.<\/span>Organizational Impact: Works to achieve individual sales targets within product area and\/or account by selling products\/ services, developing new accounts and\/or expanding existing accounts.
\n Has a direct impact on achieving department\u2019s sales results.
\n May help to set objectives or goals for individual or team accounts .
\n Works on larger, moderately complex accounts or have a small or medium-sized quota\/territory.
\n Understands market landscape, marketing and pricing structure, more influence on pricing structures.
\n Works with sales, marketing and finance to structure complex contracts.<\/span>Innovation and Complexity: Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in sales processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
\n Recommends changes in account tactics to achieve sales goals .
\n Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.<\/span>Communication and Influence: May influence parties within own job function at an operational level.
\n Obtains or provides information requiring some explanation or interpretation .
\n Communicates with external customers and \/ or vendors, involving negotiation and \/ or presentations in order to manage relationships and close sales.<\/span>Leadership and Talent Management: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
\n May provide guidance and assistance to entry level sales professionals and \/ or support employees.<\/span>Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge gained through experience of sales techniques and job area typically obtained through education combined with sales experience.
