Let\u2019s change the world. In this vital role you will lead intelligence gathering activities for marketing teams to support multiple assets across Amgen\u2019s Business Units. This critical role will report directly to the Director, Forecasting and Competitive Intelligence.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This role is for Amgen India Hyderabad Office. You will work on-site a minimum of 4 days a week.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and present key Competitive Intelligence deliverables for multiple internal business partners, primarily R&#038;D, Commercial, and Legal stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Leverage various secondary research resources to generate competitive insights including but not limited to clinicaltrials.gov, TrialTrove, BioMedTracker, Cortellis Intelligence, Evaluate Pharma, Datamonitor, IPD analytics, PharmaProjects, Drugs@FDA, PubMed, AlphaSense, Factset, and USPTO patents<\/li>\n<li>Work with R&#038;D leads to generate Key Intelligence Topics and Key Intelligence Questions (KITs &#038; KIQs) and conduct hypothesis driven primary and secondary competitive intelligence research<\/li>\n<li>Synthesize insights from scientific and medical research conferences by gathering clinical and scientific data, interact with relevant sources listed previously and develop detailed reports to debrief internal teams<\/li>\n<li>Understand US patent landscape for early drug development<\/li>\n<li>Manage multiple CI vendors, to conduct hypothesis driven primary CI research through interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Clinical trial investigators, Medical Science Liaisons, Academic and Community Physicians, Field force, Investor relations and identify other relevant sources as applicable to the project<\/li>\n<li>Travel requirement: 5%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What we expect of you<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The competitive inteligence professional we seek is a collaborator with these qualifications.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Basic Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doctorate degree 6 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<li>OR<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree and 8 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<li>OR<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree and 10 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doctorate degree and 9 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree and 11 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<li>OR<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree and 15 years of Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Tech Transfer, Equity Research, Consulting, or Patent Law experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communicator and proven ability to generate succinct insights from complex scientific data to diverse stakeholders of various functions and levels<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and stakeholder management experience is strongly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in global pharma\/biotech industry and in-depth understanding of US\/Canada\/EU5 major markets drug development pathways is strongly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Experience with early pipeline development and assessments in prior roles such as BD CI, R&#038;D CI, BD, equity research, tech transfer, patent law or similar is strongly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of basic principles of functions across pharmaceutical value chain, including drug discovery &#038; development, clinical trials, FDA \/ EMA regulation, and drug commercialization<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record, managing multiple, simultaneous projects and experience working with proprietary technical, regulatory and financial data sources (i.e. TrialTrove, Cortellis Intelligence, Evaluate Pharma, PubMed, AlphaSense, USPTO etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting insight generation by coordinating with cross-functional R&#038;D, commercial, medical &#038; scientific teams to develop therapeutic area strategy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze ongoing clinical trials and global regulatory considerations to develop scenarios for competitor launch timing in US, EU, Japan, China and other key markets<\/li>\n<li>Understand pharmaceutical forecasting models, and be able provide competitor focused assumptions to estimate market share, in support of long-range planning scenarios, go\/no-go decisions and opportunity assessment for business development activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What you can expect from us<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
