As a successful candidate for this role, you will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding and systems design, solid communication skills, and a desire to solve complex problems of scale which are uniquely SAP. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.<\/span>What you\u2019ll do-<\/span>Design, implement, document, and maintain various modules within HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.<\/span>Strive for continuous improvement, manage the product lifecycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a positive user experience.<\/span>Own the long-term health and stability of HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.<\/span>Identify areas of improvement to the current design and advocate for alternative methods to enhance the current working set.<\/span>Innovate, file patents, and generate IP for SAP.<\/span>Provide alternative diagnostic methods to resolve both in-house and customer-reported problems.<\/span>Design, debug, analyze, and resolve complex database engine problems for customers and SAP internal stakeholders.<\/span>Own and work with an engineering team in different geographic locations to diagnose and resolve design issues and customer-reported problems.<\/span>Interact with critical customers around the globe, through e-mail, calls, etc. and work towards resolving escalations.<\/span>Articulate technical information clearly.<\/span>Provide training and assist on knowledge transfer.<\/span>Prioritize tasks, develop detailed designs and estimate the effort required to complete projects.<\/span>Analyze the performance and scalability of HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.<\/span>What you bring-<\/b><\/span>B.Tech.or M.Tech. degree from a top-tier educational institute with 3-7 years\u2019 work experience.<\/span>Good knowledge of database architecture and possess analytical skills.<\/span>Experience in designing, architecting, and developing scalable services utilizing micro-service architecture.<\/span>Experience in distributed computing development, such as distributed database design, cluster file system etc., is a strong plus.<\/span>Able to multi-task and work independently and take initiative to prioritize and resolve problems.<\/span>Excellent verbal and communication skills.<\/span>Tech you bring-<\/span>You have a strong knowledge of C and C++ programming languages with some knowledge in database internals and\/or operating system internals with strong debugging skills.<\/span>Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills and experience (specifically with multi-threaded architecture, synchronization mechanisms, etc.)<\/span>Strong understanding of cloud development environment, tools and languages, for example Kubernetes, Python, go.
