Develop and administer health, safety and environment plans and processes to mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments, and provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Join us in connecting people and improving lives!<span class=\"br\"><\/span>In this HSE Specialist position<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>JOB PURPOSE<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Develop and administer health, safety and environment plans and processes to mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments, and provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute health, safety and environment plans and processes to provide employees a safe and healthy work environment<\/li>\n<li>Implement health and safety frameworks and standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal and external safety standards, and relevant regulations<\/li>\n<li>Recognize and mitigate potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices and working conditions within the workplace and external environments<\/li>\n<li>Undertake inspections of grounds, facilities and premises, analyze and suggest corrective measures to reduce the risks of injuries and job-related threats<\/li>\n<li>Draft reports and conduct investigations on job-related injuries and fatalities, and determine measures to avoid any recurrence<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and examine records of workplace injuries, illness and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies<\/li>\n<li>Conduct investigations for accidents, identify cause for accidents with engineers, management and health and safety regulatory authorities and prevent their recurrence<\/li>\n<li>Participate in development of solutions for the transportation of hazardous material<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate orientation activities and daily inspections in the operations facilities, grounds and administrative areas, changes in lay-out and installation of new equipment in order to meet safety rules and standards<\/li>\n<li>Draft training material and content, and train employees on safety protocols and safety-conscious work performance<\/li>\n<li>Establish contact and relations with key stakeholders from larger community and law enforcement bodies impacting own work area<\/li>\n<li>Study and resolve issues in day-to-day health, safety and environment operations and execute practices focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> STAKEHOLDERS <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers<\/li>\n<li>May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches<\/li>\n<li>Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers<\/li>\n<li>Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees<\/li>\n<li>May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs<\/li>\n<li>Coach and review the work of lower level professionals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Now, here\u2019s what we need from you. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent experience\/qualification<\/li>\n<li>More than 4 years within the same field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>We offer:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunities in a global company where you can contribute your ideas and skills to move towards our shared goals.<\/li>\n<li>Possible further career development<\/li>\n<li>Competitive salary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Why join DHL Global Forwarding?<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are part of Deutsche Post DHL, the world\u2019s leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries.
