System Engineer (Linux)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Job Descriptions :<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The L2 System Engineer (Linux) is responsible for: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting the Support Engineer or Software Engineer in problem resolution beyond the capability of the 1st Level Support Staff.<\/li>\n<li>Performing system recovery if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Escalating unsolvable problems to the 3rd Level Support Staff and reports the escalation to superior.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the System runs according to contractual specifications after problem resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Providing advice on system \/ database performance monitoring and tuning.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring deployments of approved patches\/releases are implemented accordingly to Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Complete all Service Requested accordingly to SLA timeframe.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the Customer in the verification, isolation and\/or provision of a temporary work-around for the problem logged beyond 2nd Level Support Staff capability.<\/li>\n<li>Escalating unsolvable system problems and service request to the OEM\/Vendor for technical support.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing on the Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing all transitions into production on the Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and complete actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines on the Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Creating and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution on the Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Managing and document system configurations on the Change Request.<\/li>\n<li>Perform troubleshooting and resolve incident based on SLA.<\/li>\n<li>Generating the relevant administrative records and reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> \u200b<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Period: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 year contract (outsourced contract)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Working Hours:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mon to Fri : 8:30 am to 6 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Salary:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to $6,000 + Standby allowance $200<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Working Location: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ang Mo Kio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Job Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree\/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, although consideration will be given to experience and certifications in lieu of degree.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 to 5 years IT experience\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Special Knowledge or Skills\u200b: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u200bPast working experience in Cloud environment is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage daily support tasks to meet stringent SLA requirements<\/li>\n<li>Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous and process-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Good, hard-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills English (written, spoken)<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems.<\/li>\n<li>Good organization skills, with ability to properly document and track information.<\/li>\n<li>Preferably with Microsoft Certification and\/or ITIL certification.<\/li>\n<li>Dynamic, customer oriented, experience working in a fast paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Good Knowledge of following products will be advantageous:<\/li>\n<li>-Linux,Unix,
