The Sales Manager (Defense IT Hardware) will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key relationships within the defense, PSU (Public Sector Undertaking), and homeland security sectors. The candidate will lead sales efforts for ruggedized laptops, servers, workstations, networking gear, and specialized computing hardware designed for military and industrial defense applications. The role requires navigating complex procurement processes, including tender management (RFP/RFQ) and high-level stakeholder management. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development : Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the Ministry of Defence, Defence PSUs, armed forces, and related contractors.Sales Strategy : Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.Tender Management : Manage the entire tender process (RFP/RFQ/RFI), including technical compliance, bid submission, and commercial negotiations.Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with senior officials, procurement officers, and technical end-users within the defense sector.Technical Sales : Collaborate with pre-sales engineers to understand customer requirements and provide customized hardware solutions (e.g., ruggedization, secure computing).Market Analysis : Stay updated on defense procurement policies, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.Reporting : Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and CRM updates for senior management.Team Leadership : (If applicable) Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve company goals.
